İnsan Neyle Yaşar?
Sayın baylar, bize hep ders verirsiniz: * “Aman, günah, ayıp, kötü, yanlış.” * Aç karnına kuru öğüt çekilmez. * Önce doyur beni, ondan sonra konuş. * Sende göbek, bizde ahlak nedense. * Şimdi bizi iyice dinle bak; * İster şöyle düşün, istersen böyle: * Önce ekmek gelir, arkadan ahlak. * Artık vermek gerek, unutmayın sakın, * Tüm nimetlerden, payını yoksulların. * İnsan neyle yaşar? * İnsan neyle yaşar: Ezip hiç durmadan. * Soyup, dövüp, yiyip yutarak insanları. * Yaşayabilmek için hemen unutmalı, * İnsanlığı unutmalı insan. * Katı gerçek budur, kaçınılmaz * Kötülük yapmadan yaşanamaz. * Efendiler bize ahlaksız dersiniz * Kötü kadın, utanmaz fahişe * Aç karnına suçlanmak hiç çekilmez * Önce doyur beni ondan sonra söyle * Sende şehvet, bizde edep nedense * Şimdi bizi iyice dinle bak; * İster şöyle düşün, istersen böyle: * Önce ekmek gelir, arkadan ahlak. * Artık vermek gerek, unutmayın sakın, * Tüm nimetlerden, payını yoksulların. * İnsan neyle yaşar? * İnsan neyle yaşar: Ezip hiç durmadan, * Soyup, dövüp, yiyip yutarak insanları. * Yaşayabilmek için hemen unutmalı, * İnsanlığını unutmalı insan. * Katı gerçek budur, kaçınılmaz. * Kötülük yapmadan yaşanamaz.

What Keeps Mankind Alive
You gentlemen who think you have a mission * To purge us of the seven deadly sins * Should first sort out the basic food position * then start your preaching: that’s where it begins * You lot, who preach restraint and watch your waist as well * Should learn for all time how the world is run: * However much you twist, whatever lies you tell * Food is the first thing. Morals follow on. * So first make sure that those who now are starving * Get proper helpings when we do the carving. * What keeps mankind alive? * The fact that millions * Are daily tortured, stifled, punished, silenced, oppressed. * Mankind can keep alive, thanks to its brilliance * In keeping its humanity repressed. * For once, you must try not to shirk the facts: * Mankind is kept alive by bestial acts. * You say the girls may strip with your permission. * You draw the lines dividing art from sin. * So first sort out the basic food position * then start your preaching: that’s where we begin. * You lot, who bank on your desires and our disgust * Should learn for all time how the world is run: * Whatever lies you tell, however much you twist * Food is the first thing. Morals follow on. * So first make sure that those, who now are starving * Get proper helpings when we do the carving. * What keeps mankind alive? .e fact that millions * Are daily tortured, stifled, punished, silenced, oppressed. * Mankind can keep alive, thanks to its brilliance * In keeping its humanity repressed. * For once, you must not try to shirk the facts: * Mankind is kept alive by bestial acts.

Alameda from Elliott Smith

You walk down Alameda

shuffling your deck of trick cards over everyone
Like some precious only son
Face down, bow to the champion

You walk down Alameda looking at the cracks in the sidewalk,

thinking about your friends
How you maintain all them in a constant set of suspense

For your own protection, over their affection
Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own because you can’t finish what you start

Walk down Alameda brushing off the nightmares
you wish could plague me when I’m awake
So now you see your first mistake
was thinking that you could relate
For one or two minutes she liked you
But the fix is in

You’re all pretension, I never pay attention

Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own ‘cos you can’t finish what you start

Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own ‘cos you can’t finish what you start

Nobody broke your heart
You broke your own ‘cos you can’t finish what you start

Nobody broke your heart
If you’re alone, it must be you that wants to be apart
