Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This policy describes the App's current technical configuration. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

1. Scope and developer

This Privacy Policy explains how Germany Citizenship Test 2026 ("App") handles information. The App is offered by Ersin Akyüz. Privacy questions may be sent to [email protected].

The App does not require an account. The developer does not ask users to provide a name, email address, postal address, or other profile information inside the App.

2. Independent educational app

The App was developed independently and is not operated, sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with a governmental institution. Its educational information and questions are based on publicly available sources, particularly material from the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).

Official BAMF information: oet.bamf.de

3. Information stored locally

The following information may be stored on the device to provide App functionality:

This local progress is not linked to an App account and is not uploaded to Firebase. Stable question identifiers, rather than full question or answer text, are used where possible.

4. Firebase Analytics

Firebase Analytics is off by default and may be enabled in the App's privacy settings. When enabled, it may process events such as App and screen use, quiz starts and completions, question identifiers, whether an answer was correct, approximate score, quiz type, language, a stable internal state code, feature use, App version, build number, and platform.

The App does not intentionally send names, email addresses, exact location, free-form answer text, or full question/answer text to Firebase. "Anonymous analytics" means that no account identity or developer-supplied personal user identity is attached by the App. Firebase may nevertheless process technical identifiers, such as a Firebase installation or app-instance identifier, and device/App metadata as part of the service.

5. Firebase Crashlytics

Firebase Crashlytics is also off by default and can be enabled separately. When enabled, it may process crash reports, recorded errors, sanitized stack traces, timestamps, App version, operating-system and device information, technical installation identifiers, and limited diagnostic context. This information is used to identify and fix reliability problems.

6. Expo Insights

Expo Insights may separately send limited App-launch measurements, including EAS project/client identifiers, App version, operating-system version, and platform. This measurement remains separate from the Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics switches.

7. Advertising and consent

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads/AdMob banner and interstitial advertising. The advertising SDK may process information such as IP address, device and App information, advertising or app-instance identifiers where available, ad impressions and interactions, consent signals, and diagnostic information. Google may use this information for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.

The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising privacy choices where required. Ads are requested only when UMP reports that an ad request is permitted, and the App requests non-personalized ads in its current configuration. Available advertising privacy choices can be reopened from the App when Google requires a privacy-options entry. Pro users do not see in-App ads.

8. Purchases and Pro access

Optional purchases or subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. The developer does not receive or store complete payment-card details. RevenueCat is used to obtain offerings, validate purchase entitlement, and restore Pro access. Because the App has no login, RevenueCat generates an anonymous App User ID and may process device/OS information, first-seen or last-seen times, subscription status, transaction details, Apple receipt data, or Google purchase tokens. The App does not send a name or email address to RevenueCat.

9. Local notifications, review, sharing, and speech

10. Permissions and information not intentionally collected

The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or precise-location permission. It does not intentionally send user names, email addresses, exact location, free-form answers, or complete question/answer text to analytics or crash reporting. Technical providers may still automatically process IP addresses, device/App metadata, and service-specific identifiers as described above.

11. User choices and deletion

Firebase and advertising-consent choices are stored separately, so resetting progress does not silently change them. Deleting the App generally removes local App data, but it does not automatically cancel subscriptions or delete records already processed by Apple, Google, Firebase, Expo, or RevenueCat. Subscriptions must be managed through the applicable store account.

12. Service providers, retention, and international processing

The App relies on Google Firebase, Google Mobile Ads/UMP, Expo, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google Play. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy documentation. Retention periods, storage locations, and access or deletion mechanisms depend on the provider and the production-console configuration. Information may be processed in countries other than the user's country of residence.

13. Sale of data and children's privacy

The App developer does not sell personal data. The App is an educational test-preparation tool and does not knowingly ask children to provide names, contact details, or account-profile information. A parent or guardian should supervise use where required by applicable law.

14. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this section. Questions, access/deletion requests relating to data controlled by the developer, or privacy concerns may be sent to [email protected].

3. Lokal gespeicherte Informationen
